Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is recruiting a SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils in Crediton, Devon. The role focuses on supporting children with SEND through outdoor learning and hands-on activities, with 1:1 or small-group sessions.

The position is full-time, term-time only, Monday to Friday 9:00 am–4:30 pm, with daily pay of £105-£115. Experience in SEND is desirable; training and CPD are offered by Teaching Personnel.

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND is desirable but not essential.
• Transferable experience in care, youth work, outdoor education or family SEND support.
• Patient, resilient and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 or small-group support during outdoor learning sessions.

• Promote independence, confidence and engagement through outdoor learning.
• Support pupils with emotional wellbeing, communication and behaviour regulation.
• Work closely with teachers and SENCo to provide consistent support.

Teaching Personnel is recruiting caring, committed SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistants to work with pupils in schools across Creditonand the surrounding areas.

The Role

Position: SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistant
Pay: £105-£115 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-4:30 pm

What You'll Do

• Provide dedicated 1:1 or small-group support during outdoor learning sessions
• Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs and abilities
• Support the implementation of EHCPs, IEPs and behaviour support plans

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
