Job summary

Cotswold Outdoor Cambridge is hiring a Retail Supervisor to lead a team on a 28-hour per week rotating schedule, including weekends, and to deliver excellent service while keeping the store running smoothly.

You will lead by example on the shop floor, run opening/closing tasks as a key holder, assist with boot fittings and gait analysis, mentor new colleagues and ensure cashing up is accurate. In return, enjoy a 40–60% staff discount and a supportive, values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a retail supervisor or in a similar supervisory role.
• Strong customer service focus and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to lead by example and build strong team connections.
• Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to deliver excellent customer service and maximise sales opportunities.
• Lead on the shop floor and provide expert services such as boot fitting and gait analysis.
• Mentor new colleagues and help onboard them confidently.
• Manage store opening and closing duties as a key holder.
• Carry out cashing up duties accurately and efficiently.
• Lead in the absence of the Store/Assistant Store Manager.
• Ensure store safety, compliance, and smooth operation.
• Bring energy, organisation and motivation to the team.
