Job summary

Global Ardour Recycling is seeking a Non-Ferrous Recycling Operative at its Preston site. You will identify, sort and process non-ferrous metals, ensuring safe and efficient yard operations and high-quality material handling.

The role demands 42.75 hours per week (Mon–Fri with flexibility over 7 days). Starting salary is £30,000, with progression as the company grows and develops its team. A supportive, inclusive workplace awaits in Preston.

Qualifications

• Experience in scrap metal recycling.
• Knowledge of non-ferrous metals is essential.
• FLT experience or licence is desirable.
• Reliable with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Health & Safety conscious.

Responsibilities

• Identify, sort and process non-ferrous metals according to procedures.
• Assist with weighing materials and dealing with suppliers/public deliveries.
• Collaborate with the yard team and management to maintain high standards.
• Operate plant equipment and FLT when trained.
• Maintain clean and safe working area; adhere to health and safety regulations.
