Job summary

Royal Mail in Truro is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term 6-month contract at £13.68 per hour, 25 hours per week, with some weekend work and a rotating shift.

You will sort letters and parcels, deliver by van and on foot, build relationships with customers, and work outdoors in all weathers. A full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 penalty points is required, along with the ability to pass a driving assessment.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting/carrying 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.
