Job summary

Royal Mail Group is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Falmouth for a fixed-term 9-month contract. The role is 25 hours per week across Monday to Sunday 08:00–16:30, with overtime paid where available.

You’ll deliver letters and parcels, walk and drive in your local area, and represent the trusted Royal Mail service. You'll need a full manual UK driving licence (up to 6 penalty points), be comfortable outdoors in all weather, and able to work a variable weekend-inclusive rota.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 points).
• Willingness to drive Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit for long walks, stairs/hills, lifting 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and well-organised.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather.
