Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Callington is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term contract (9 months). You will deliver letters and parcels, walk long distances, and drive a Royal Mail van as part of a rotating shift including weekends.

You must hold a full manual UK driving licence (up to 6 penalty points) and be physically fit to walk and carry mailbags. Training, a uniform, and a red van are provided.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required (max 6 penalty points).
• Must pass driving assessment.
• Physically fit for long-distance walking, stairs, lifting 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and well-organised.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather.
