Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Stone. You will deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot, working 30 hours per week on a rotating shift that includes weekends. The role is fixed term for 9 months, with overtime available and a 13.68 GBP per hour wage paid monthly.

Full training provided; you’ll operate from Stone Delivery Office, with a uniform and a red Royal Mail van. You must be physically fit, drive safely, and be comfortable working outdoors in all weather

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work outdoors in all weathers.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area.
• Build relationships with customers and work outdoors.
• Handle items securely and follow Royal Mail standards.
