Job summary

Royal Mail in Godalming is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels across the local area. You will work a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends, with a 30-hour week and a starting pay of £13.68 per hour plus paid overtime.

Full training and a uniform are provided, with a red Royal Mail van to use on duties. You'll walk and drive as part of your route, stay active, build relationships with customers, and represent the trusted Royal Mail service.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required.
• Able to pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated with strong organisation and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
