Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is seeking Civil Enforcement Officers to patrol car parks, town centres, and streets across Harrogate and North Yorkshire. The role focuses on fair enforcement of parking regulations, delivering excellent customer service, and acting as a visible presence in the community.

You’ll work outdoors, on a rota, with full training provided. A full UK manual driving licence is required, and benefits include generous holiday entitlement and a pension scheme.

Responsibilities

• Issue Penalty Charge Notices using handheld devices.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist the public.
• Patrol designated areas independently and as part of a team.
• Report hazards and incidents to keep communities safe.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports.
• Act as a visible presence to improve compliance and safety.
