Job summary

Peterborough City Council is seeking a reliable Civil Enforcement Officer to join the Parking Services team on a five-month fixed-term contract, with potential for permanency. The role involves patrolling areas, engaging with the public and enforcing parking regulations to ensure smooth traffic flow across Peterborough.

You will work outdoors in all weather, either independently or in a team, using mobile tech to monitor activity, issue PCNs, and record evidence.

Qualifications

• Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Comfortable working outdoors and as part of a team.
• Full training on legislation, procedures and equipment will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated areas to enforce parking regulations.
• Engage positively with the public and stakeholders.
• Issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) and record evidence.
• Report defects or issues within the service area.
• Assist customers in car parks and support multi-agency operations.
• Contribute to wider enforcement and regulatory initiatives.
