Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Milton Keynes seeks a Postie to deliver letters and parcels on a 35-hour week with a rotating shift, including Sundays. This is a fixed-term contract for 9 months with a starting wage of £13.68 per hour plus overtime.

You will drive a Royal Mail van, work outdoors in all weather, and provide excellent service to customers on your route. Full training and a uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit, comfortable walking long distances and lifting 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work outdoors in all weather.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
