Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Alexandria requires a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels, working 30 hours per week on a fixed-term contract. You’ll work a rotating schedule, including weekends, and may be required to deliver on Sundays.

Training, a uniform and a red Royal Mail van are provided. The role is physically demanding, outdoors, and customer-facing, with potential overtime and a 9-month contract.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required.
• Able to pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit to walk long distances and lift 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
