Job summary

Pertemps Bond in Berwick-upon-Tweed is recruiting a Leakage Technician to join the Northumbrian Water team. This is a hands-on outdoor role focused on locating leaks, fitting devices, and protecting water supplies across the network.

You'll drive a fully equipped van, perform leakage surveys and work in all weather conditions. A full UK manual driving licence and willingness to learn are essential; prior leakage experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfort using mobile technology (smartphones/tablets) and outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify and locate leaks on water mains and service pipes.
• Fit monitoring and leak detection devices to manholes.
• Use sounding, correlating and noise logging techniques.
• Carry out planned leakage surveys and respond to urgent leak detection requests.
• Work independently across the water network and communicate findings to customers.
