Job summary

Northumbrian Water is seeking a Leakage Technician to join the Berwick area team. The role focuses on fitting monitoring and leak detection devices across the water network and identifying leaks, to help protect water supplies and minimise waste.

You’ll work outdoors in all weather, with a fully equipped van and fuel card provided. Full training and support will be given; no prior leakage experience is required though beneficial.

Qualifications

• Full training and support provided; right attitude and willingness to learn.
• Hold a full UK manual driving licence.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and locate leaks on water mains and service pipes.
• Fit monitoring and leak detection devices to manholes.
• Use sounding, correlating and noise logging techniques.
• Carry out planned leakage surveys and reactive leak work.
• Work independently across the water network and explain findings to customers.
• Meet productivity and accuracy targets.
