Job summary

Kilve Court Outdoor Centre, operated by Somerset Council, is seeking a permanent coordinator to plan and run outdoor learning programmes and residential stays, manage bookings, and promote the centre. The role includes deputising for the Centre Manager and leading activities while overseeing daily operations in a hybrid working environment.

You will build relationships with schools and visitors, champion safeguarding and health and safety, and strive to exceed expectations with excellent

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health and safety, safeguarding and risk assessment in outdoor or residential settings
• Strong communication skills with children, young people and adults
• Excellent organisational skills to manage bookings, programmes and competing priorities
• Leading activities and making effective decisions in a busy environment

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate outdoor programmes, activities and residential stays
• Deputise for the Centre Manager and oversee the day-to-day running of the centre
• Manage bookings and promote the centre to grow bookings
• Create outdoor learning experiences that inspire children and young people
• Build relationships with schools, parents, group leaders and visitors
• Support safeguarding, health and safety and wellbeing
• Champion customer service and look for ways to exceed expectations
• Work with colleagues to improve the service and create an inclusive environment
