Job summary

Cromwell is seeking an Outbound Operations Manager to lead our World Distribution Centre's outbound activities and drive continuous improvement. You will work with the Head of Logistics and Centre leadership to deliver excellent service, strong productivity and a positive colleague experience across the network.

You will provide day-to-day guidance to senior operational teams, challenge performance and implement standardized approaches.

Qualifications

• Experience leading distribution centre/warehouse operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Track record of delivering continuous improvement and productivity gains using Lean, Six Sigma or similar methods.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making.
• Experience leading projects, implementing change and embedding new processes with emphasis on health & safety, risk, SOPs and audit readiness.
• Experience developing leaders and engaging teams with clear communication across functions.
• Good commercial awareness including resource planning and cost reduction; relevant qualification in logistics or related field is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead outbound operations across the distribution centre network to ensure safe, reliable and efficient customer fulfilment.
• Provide day-to-day guidance to senior operational leaders and their teams to foster teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Use customer experience, service performance and operational data to identify priorities and turn insight into action.
• Develop and deliver continuous improvement projects including process redesign and system enhancements to boost efficiency and quality.
• Ensure SOPs, risk assessments, operational controls and training are current and audit-ready.
• Manage resources and support budget planning while building strong cross-functional relationships across transport, inventory control and quality teams.
