Summary Due to the continued popularity of our wraparound provision, the Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and proactive Kids’ Club Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and would like to gain valuable experience within a school. The role may particularly suit a college student, trainee teacher or someone considering a future career in education.
At Burscough Village Primary School, we pride ourselves on being a nurturing and supportive employer. We recognise that the right candidate may be balancing work with study or professional training, so we are happy to consider a job-share arrangement for suitable applicants. The role also offers valuable, practical experience of working with children across a broad age range and can provide an excellent stepping stone to a career in education. Indeed, many former Kids’ Club colleagues have progressed to other roles within school, including teaching assistant and teaching positions.
Our Kids’ Club provides wraparound care for children aged 4–11 years. The successful candidate will help to create a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment in which children can relax, play, socialise and thrive beyond the school day.
Being active is an important part of life at BVPS, and we want this to continue throughout our wraparound provision. You will support the planning and delivery of a varied programme of active, creative, social and quieter activities, helping children of different ages and interests to take part, have fun and try new experiences.
BVPS is a forward-thinking and fully inclusive school. We value the contribution of our support staff and are committed to helping colleagues develop their skills and understanding through appropriate training and experience.
Whether you are studying at college, training to become a teacher, exploring a career in education or simply passionate about providing high-quality childcare, we would encourage you to apply.
