Job summary

Springfields Fuels Ltd in Salwick Preston, GB, is recruiting an Operational Technology Engineer to maintain and improve industrial control systems across our nuclear fuel manufacturing site. You will work at the intersection of engineering and cyber security, ensuring safe, secure operation and compliance with ONR and NIS requirements.

Reporting to the OT Systems Lead / Engineering Manager, the role involves configuring PLC/DCS/HMI/SCADA, system upgrades, and collaboration with vendors for

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Control Systems, or Automation.
• Experience maintaining or supporting industrial control systems in manufacturing or critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational control systems (PLCs, DCS, HMIs, SCADA) across production facilities.
• Contribute to design, development and modification of OT systems following safety standards.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security to implement secure architectures and controls in OT environment.
• Support regulatory compliance and safety cases, audits, and change control processes.
• Participate in system commissioning, testing, and documentation updates.
