Job summary

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks is seeking an experienced OT security professional to support risk management and design of security controls across transmission systems. You will work on securing OT/ICS environments, collaborating with project teams and vendors to embed security throughout the system lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Qualifications or experience in cyber security, engineering, OT, networking or a related field.
• Experience in OT, industrial control or critical infrastructure including SCADA and PLCs.
• Knowledge of OT systems, network design and cyber controls in safety-critical environments.
• Experience in cyber risk, technical assurance or security governance with knowledge of NIS, NCSC CAF, IEC 62443 or NIST CSF.
• Strong communication and stakeholder skills to explain technical concepts across audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support cyber risk management and design of security controls; communicate risks clearly.
• Support security assurance, testing and commissioning before go-live.
• Develop and improve clear, practical security standards and documentation.
• Develop expertise in maintaining security monitoring, auditing and network security tools.
• Act as a trusted OT security adviser across SSEN with SSE IT and other teams.
