Job summary

SSE is hiring an OT Security Engineer to join the Distribution OT team, protecting our Operational Technology and coordinating with Future Networks and project teams to ensure security requirements are met.

The role involves real-time cyber security incident management, vulnerability assessments, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders across SSEN, SSE Group IT, and business units. A SC level vetting is required.

Qualifications

• Professional certification such as GICSP or equivalent in cyber security.
• Good theoretical and practical understanding of telecommunication and IT systems.
• A thorough understanding of Risk Assessment and vulnerability management processes.
• Ability to translate and simplify complex technical information for diverse audiences.
• Strong knowledge and experience of the operation and design of OT networks.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring OT processes and designs are risk assessed with mitigations.
• Developing and updating cyber security policy for OT networks.
• Maintaining cyber security risk registers for OT systems.
• Identifying vulnerabilities and proposing remediations with internal/external teams.
• Representing OT as a security expert in SSEN Distribution and SSE IT discussions.
