Job summary

BUUK Infrastructure is seeking an Operational Technology Manager to lead the OT platforms and infrastructure underpinning critical services. You will define service boundaries, build capability, manage suppliers and drive secure, resilient OT environments across fibre initially, expanding to other networks as agreed.

You will guide the OT team, establish procedures, maintain asset inventories and ensure robust risk management, change governance and incident response across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent professional experience in IT/engineering or related field.
• Professional qualifications in infrastructure, networking, OT, cyber security or service management.
• Continued professional development in OT, resilience or cyber security.

Responsibilities

• Own OT infrastructure strategy, roadmap, service model and lifecycle.
• Define boundaries between IT, OT, engineering, Cyber Security and third parties.
• Lead OT team, develop capability, documentation, rota and standards.
• Maintain OT asset inventories, architecture docs and risk records.
• Oversee OT identity, access, network segmentation, hosting, monitoring and recovery.
• Embed security in OT design, procurement, onboarding and supplier management.
• Coordinate incident detection, response, recovery and post-incident improvements.
• Manage OT suppliers and service levels with secure remote access.
• Plan and govern OT change to protect availability and regulatory obligations.
• Develop resilience, disaster recovery and continuity arrangements.
• Collaborate with PMO and Projects for governance and transition to operations.
• Provide OT leadership, readiness assessments and risk evaluations in projects.
• Support portfolio planning with roadmaps, dependencies and risk assessments.
• Report on availability, capacity, vulnerabilities, incidents and roadmap delivery.
• Adhere to any role-specific security screening for critical environments.
• Participate in on-call rota and out-of-hours support when required.
