Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking an Occupational Therapy graduate to join a supportive primary school in Walker (NE6). In a Year 2 classroom with high SEND needs, you will help children develop independence, sensory regulation, and motor skills while supporting learning throughout the day.

This full-time, long-term role offers daily pay of £92.63–£102 and starts September 2026. You will collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, therapists, and families to plan targeted interventions and promote

Qualifications

• OT graduate seeking practical experience in paediatric therapy settings.
• Experience or interest in SEND, education, and child development is desirable.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND needs in a Year 2 classroom.
• Deliver sensory regulation strategies and movement breaks.
• Assist children with fine and gross motor skill development.
• Support personalised intervention programmes.
• Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, therapists and families.
