Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Lead Operational Technology Compliance Manager to provide specialist compliance leadership across our OT environment within the Digital Services Directorate. You will partner with OTSE and supplier teams to deliver independent assurance, ensuring governance, evidence, and escalation support the safe, reliable operation of roadside technology across the network.

You'll influence standards, manage risk, and contribute to a modern, data-driven approach to road network

Qualifications

• Experience in quality-controlled environments (ISO 9001).
• Detailed knowledge of roadside operational technology infrastructure and lifecycle.
• Ability to influence and escalate to senior stakeholders.
• Delivery lifecycle understanding across motorway networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead Roadside Technology Product Acceptance process with evidence-based compliance and escalation.
• Provide independent assurance across OT standards and governance with cross-functional collaboration.
• Embed assurance early in delivery with OTSE, Quality & Test and project teams.
• Assess impact of new/modified requirements across OT assets and frameworks (OTSL/DMRB/MCHW).
• Drive continuous improvement using data analytics and emerging AI tools to identify trends.
