Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust invites an Orthoptist to join the King’s Mill Hospital team. You’ll assess, diagnose and manage ocular motility and visual development disorders, supporting children’s development and adults with double vision, neurological conditions and visual impairment.

Based mainly at King’s Mill Hospital, you’ll also work across Ashfield Health Village and Newark Hospital, collaborating with ophthalmologists and other clinicians to shape personalised treatment

Qualifications

• Essential Orthoptics knowledge including ophthalmology and neurology.
• BMedSci Orthoptic degree or DBO qualification or equivalent.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage ocular motility and visual development disorders.
• Work alongside ophthalmologists to develop personalised treatment plans.
• Provide care across paediatric and adult caseloads with a varied service.
