Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage ocular motility and visual development disorders, supporting children's visual development and adults with double vision, neurological conditions and visual impairment.
• Work alongside ophthalmologists and healthcare professionals to contribute to clinical decisions and personalised treatment plans across a varied caseload.
• Provide structured preceptorship for newly qualified Orthoptists, mentoring for early-career practitioners and ongoing professional development.
• Based primarily at King's Mill Hospital, with duties across Ashfield Health Village and Newark Hospital.
• Handle varied paediatric and adult caseloads and opportunities to expand skills and contribute to service improvement.
