The Manor Hospital in Bedford, part of Circle Health Group, is looking for a Theatre Practitioner in the Orthopaedic Scrub Team. This full-time role covers 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern and offers a salary up to £35,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Competenze

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or ODP (HCPC) qualification.
• Orthopaedic theatre experience with scrub, anaesthetics or recovery.
• Strong infection control, manual handling and patient safety knowledge.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to a dynamic environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Minimum 2 years Orthopaedic experience.

Mansioni

• Prepare instruments and maintain sterility for the surgical team.
• Support anaesthetist with equipment prep, monitoring and patient positioning.
• Provide post-operative care, monitor vitals, manage pain and nausea.
• Ensure readiness for discharge and patient safety.
• Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and patient needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for safe surgical lists.
