Circle Reading Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Theatre Practitioner for the Orthopaedics department. This full-time role is 37.5 hours per week with a permanent contract and a salary of up to £40,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

The post involves flexible shifts to cover theatre requirements. Key duties include instrument setup, sterility maintenance, assisting surgeons and anaesthetists, and providing post-operative care.

Qualifikationen

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or ODP (HCPC) required.
• Theatre environment experience in at least one area (scrub, anaesthetics, or recovery).
• Infection control, manual handling, and patient safety principles understood.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly in a dynamic theatre setting.

Aufgaben

• Prepare instruments, maintain sterility, anticipate surgeon needs, ensure equipment safety.
• Support the Anaesthetist with equipment prep, patient monitoring, airway management, positioning.
• Provide post-operative care, monitor vitals, manage pain and nausea, discharge readiness.
• Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and patient requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient lists.
