Job summary

Circle Health Group’s Bath Clinic seeks a Theatre Practitioner to join the Theatre department. This full-time role covers 37.5 hours weekly with a flexible shift pattern, offering a salary up to £44,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Key duties include instrument preparation, sterility maintenance, assisting the anaesthetist, and providing post-operative care. Applicants must be NMC or HCPC registered with theatre experience.

Qualifications

• Experience or training in a theatre environment is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic theatre environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments and maintain sterility; anticipate surgeon needs.
• Assist anaesthetist with equipment prep, monitoring, airway management, positioning.
• Provide post-operative care and monitor vital signs, pain, and nausea.
• Ensure readiness for discharge and maintain infection control.
• Set up operating theatres per surgery type and patient needs.
• Report faults in surgical/anaesthetic equipment promptly.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team for safe theatre lists.
