Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse (Band 5) to join John Ray Ward at Broomfield Hospital.

You will provide high standards of individualized nursing care, maintain patient privacy and dignity, and support discharge planning within a dynamic multidisciplinary team.

Newly qualified nurses are welcome; orthopaedic experience is preferred but not essential. Closing date: 03 November 2026.

Qualifications

• NMC registered on the NMC register.
• Mentorship course or equivalent experience is required.
• Experience in an acute clinical environment as trained nurse or student nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard of individualized care while maintaining patients' privacy and dignity.
• Assess care needs, develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care.
• Support Nurse Led Discharge and participate in transferring medically fit patients to appropriate settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure care is delivered accurately and efficiently.
