Job summary

Southend University Hospital NHS Trust is seeking Band 5 Nurses to join John Ray Ward, a 31-bed Elective/Trauma orthopaedic ward at Broomfield Hospital. The team prides itself on high-quality patient care and supports ongoing training and development.

Newly qualified or experienced nurses are welcome; orthopaedic experience is preferred but not essential. You will provide personalized care, maintain patient dignity, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to discharge/transfer medically

Qualifications

• Band 5 nursing role on John Ray Ward (orthopaedics) with competency programme.
• Newly qualified or experienced nurses welcome; orthopaedic experience preferred but not essential.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of individualized care, while maintaining patient privacy and dignity.
• Assess care needs, develop, implement and evaluate care programmes, and support Senior Sister/ Charge Nurse.
• Maintain cleanliness and communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and multidisciplinary team to ensure accurate and efficient care.
