Job summary

Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Healthcare Support Worker for the Orthopaedic Outpatients Department. You will receive fully supported training, a bespoke induction, and guidance toward career progression within the NHS.

The role is Band 3 for those meeting care certificate competencies, otherwise Band 2 with progression to Band 3. You’ll work under supervision to provide compassionate care and maintain documentation, with opportunities across sites

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; comprehensive training will be provided.
• Fully supported induction and care certificate pathway.
• Mentors on wards to support progression and patient care excellence.

Responsibilities

• Work under supervision of a registered health care professional; deliver dignified, compassionate and safe patient care.
• Maintain high standards of documentation.
• Be flexible across all shift patterns and support move of department to Poole Hospital in 2027 if required.
