Job summary

Tesco is seeking an Organisation Design lead to partner with Exec members and business leaders to design structures and roles that support strategy over the next 1–3 years. You will drive a strategic plan for the Group business, balancing internal and external perspectives.

You will work with leaders to understand requirements, develop OD blueprints, and challenge options with data-led insights while aligning with Tesco’s Service Model and governance processes. Flexible working is supported.

Qualifications

• Experience of developing structures in large organisations with cross-functional hand-offs and interdependencies.
• Experience of managing change projects, either internally or as an external consult.
• OrgVue experience is highly desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Providing Organisation Design expertise aligned to Group objectives and market needs.
• Developing professional OD blueprints (principles, Work Levels, Job Descriptions).
• Working with leaders to identify organisation design improvements to meet strategy and financial targets.
• Advising leaders with data-led role and structure options aligned to OD principles.
• Designing roles with clear accountabilities and simple ways of working.
• Building relationships with leaders to assess impact on behaviours, skills, culture and communication flows.
• Collaborating with finance partners to align on efficiencies and investments for change.
• Articulating change narratives, benefits and cases for change.
• Leading evaluations to confirm changes are embedded and measured against success metrics.
• Maintaining position governance and accurate data for roles and structures.
