Job summary

Deliveroo seeks a hybrid London-based web/full-stack engineer to own the ordering experience across store, item, basket, and checkout. You’ll work primarily in React and TypeScript on the frontend and contribute to backend services in Golang, shaping architecture and reviewing code with the team.

Collaborating with a Product Manager, you’ll scope changes to the ordering funnel and ship iteratively, while growing the team and participating in hiring.

Qualifications

• Strong full-stack experience across web frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (Go or similar) to unblock delivery end-to-end.
• Experience designing and running A/B experiments and interpreting guardrail metrics.
• Comfortable in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with shifting priorities.
• Strong ownership mindset from PRD to production monitoring with minimal hand-holding.
• Track record of incremental shipping and data-driven iteration.
• Willing to participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the store, item, basket, and checkout experiences on web, working primarily in React and TypeScript.
• Contribute to backend services written in Golang.
• Improve code structure, shape architecture, and review code across the team.
• Partner closely with your Product Manager and fellow engineers to scope and ship changes to the ordering funnel.
• Take part in the hiring process and support the growth of your teammates as the team scales.
