Job summary

Deliveroo is seeking a Software Engineer to help build the definitive online food company from our London office with a hybrid setup, typically 3 days in the office.

You will work across backend in Go and frontend in React/TypeScript, design and run A/B experiments, own large features, and collaborate across teams to scale our marketplace.

Qualifications

• Strong fullstack experience across backend (Go) and frontend (React/TypeScript).
• Experience designing, implementing and rolling out AB experiments with guardrail metrics.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment with shifting priorities.
• Strong ownership mindset from design to production monitoring.
• Track record of shipping iteratively and data-driven decisions.
• Willing to participate in an on-call rotation and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Improve code structure, influence architecture, and review team code.
• Simplify maintenance and operation of production systems, ensuring health and visibility.
• Lead from the front on technical execution and collaboration with other teams.
• Own larger pieces of work, assist with design choices, and influence roadmap.
• Participate in hiring and engineering interviews; mentor teammates.
