Job summary

Involved Solutions is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA in London to manage and optimise enterprise Oracle databases across 11g–23ai, with strong PL/SQL development and performance tuning capabilities.

You will contribute to automation, tooling, and platform improvements, while supporting application teams and providing L3 Oracle/Exadata expertise in a hybrid London-based role.

Qualifications

• Strong Oracle DBA experience across Oracle 11g, 12c, 18c, 19c, or 23ai.
• Strong Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
• Database performance tuning and optimisation expertise.
• Bash / KSH shell scripting experience.
• Experience with RMAN, Data Pump, Export/Import utilities, backup and recovery, flashback technologies, and migrations.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale Oracle database environments.
• Desirable: Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification.
• Desirable: Oracle Exadata or Exadata Cloud@Customer experience.
• Desirable: Oracle ASM administration.
• Desirable: Oracle Data Guard administration.
• Desirable: Python development experience.

• We support application development teams with database performance, architecture, and product selection guidance.
• We provide L3 support across Oracle Database and Exadata Cloud environments.
• We design and optimise database models to support enterprise applications.
• We contribute to database platform improvements, resilience, and performance optimisation initiatives.

We are a globally established organisation with a high-performing database and platform engineering team. This is a hands-on permanent role based in Central London with a hybrid working model of three days onsite per week. The position offers a salary of up to £80,000, plus bonus and benefits, and a 40-hour full-time working week. You will join a global technology environment where we focus on supporting, automating, and optimising critical Oracle database platforms while working with modern infrastructure and cloud technologies.
