Salary: £65,000 - 80,000 per year
Requirements:
- We need strong Oracle DBA experience across Oracle 11g, Oracle 12c, Oracle 18c, Oracle 19c, or Oracle 23ai.
- We need strong Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
- We need database performance tuning and optimisation expertise.
- We need strong Bash / KSH shell scripting experience.
- We need experience with RMAN, Data Pump, Export / Import utilities, backup and recovery, flashback technologies, and database migrations.
- We need strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- We need experience supporting enterprise-scale Oracle database environments.
- Desirable: Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification.
- Desirable: Oracle Exadata or Exadata Cloud@Customer experience.

- Desirable: Oracle Data Guard administration.
- Desirable: Python development experience.

Responsibilities:
- We develop automation tooling and platform solutions to support database operations teams.
- We design and enhance database support platforms to improve efficiency and reliability.
- We perform root cause analysis on incidents and implement permanent solutions through automation and engineering improvements.
- We reduce manual operational workload through scripting and automation initiatives.
- We support application development teams with database performance, architecture, and product selection guidance.
- We provide L3 support across Oracle Database and Exadata Cloud environments.
- We design and optimise database models to support enterprise applications.
- We contribute to database platform improvements, resilience, and performance optimisation initiatives.

This is a hands-on permanent role based in Central London with a hybrid working model of three days onsite per week.
