Job description

Contract Role – Oracle HCM Specialist – Warwick/Hybrid – 12 Months Initial – Inside IR35

Role Overview:

  • Job Title: Oracle HCM Specialist
  • Location: Warwick/Hybrid (Hybrid working to be agreed with the team lead, typically it’s no more than 2 days per week).
  • Contract Type: Contract
  • Duration: 12 months initially, with high potential for extension

Responsibilities:

The Oracle HCM Specialist will be responsible for the maintenance and support of Oracle-based human resources and payroll database system. This functional role requires some technical ability. Key responsibilities include:

  • Application knowledge of the client business process.
  • Communicating with end users to understand their issues/concerns and prioritizing them for resolution.
  • Addressing questions/issues raised by end users, client IT individuals, or help desk.
  • Determining and resolving problems reported from end users and system operators.

Required Skills:

  • Oracle HCM experience – with focus on HR (e.g., Oracle HRMS, Oracle SSHR, Oracle Workflow, OLM, Oracle BI, SQL).
  • Problem-solving, investigative, and analytical skills.
  • Experience working within an application support team.
  • Exposure to querying, manipulating, and configuring SQL.
  • Knowledge of a help desk system and managing service requests/incidents/problems.
  • Ability to respond to users within set service level agreements (SLA’s) and operating level agreements (OLA’s).
  • Establishing good working relationships with clients and project teams.
  • Strong customer communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Providing politically sensitive answers/solutions to issues as necessary.
  • Negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • An understanding of the ITIL framework.
  • Knowledge of UK Payroll Legislation.
  • Experience of working within the healthcare sector.
