Job summary

Coforge is seeking an Oracle Developer in Leeds, UK. The role focuses on designing, developing and supporting robust Oracle-based applications using Oracle Database, PL/SQL and Oracle APEX.

You will work within a team transforming core business systems and collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with Oracle 11g and exposure to 19c, strong PL/SQL and APEX skills, and a track record of delivering end-to-end solutions in large scale

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Oracle Developer with Oracle DB 11g.
• Exposure to Oracle 19c is a plus.
• Strong PL/SQL and Oracle APEX development skills.
• Experience designing, developing and maintaining databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle-based apps using SQL, PL/SQL, and APEX.
• Produce technical specs, designs and development docs.
• Collaborate with developers, testers and business analysts to deliver solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues; ensure performance optimization.
• Contribute to DB performance tuning and transformations.
• Support technology transformation initiatives across core applications.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to stakeholders.

Experienced Oracle Developer with strong expertise in Oracle Database, PL/SQL, and Oracle APEX to design, develop, and support robust business-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have experience working on large-scale technology transformation programs and be capable of delivering end-to-end solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle-based applications using SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle APEX.
• Produce detailed technical specifications, solution designs, and development documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Developers, Testers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues while ensuring optimal system performance.
• Contribute to database performance tuning and optimization activities.
• Support the delivery of technology transformation initiatives and enhancements across core business applications.
• Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an Oracle Developer, with hands-on experience in Oracle Database 11g and ideally exposure to Oracle 19c.
• Strong development skills in PL/SQL and Oracle APEX.
• Solid experience in database design, development, and maintenance.
