Job summary

VE3, a technology and business consultancy, is seeking an experienced Cloud and DevOps engineer to join our UK operations. You will manage environments across SaaS/PaaS/IaaS, automate with Terraform, and maintain disaster recovery and security controls in a fast-moving enterprise setting.

The role requires SC clearance, 5+ years of hands-on experience, and the ability to work in a remote/hybrid UK environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or security domains.
• SC Cleared is required.
• Hands-on with OCI, Terraform and Linux administration.
• Experience with backup, restore and disaster recovery.
• Experience running vulnerability scanning and remediation cycles.
• Familiarity with privileged access management tooling.

Responsibilities

• Provision, refresh and decommission environments across SaaS, PaaS and IaaS.
• Run production-to-test cloning and post-clone data masking work.
• Plan environment estate around Oracle release cycles and publish the plan.
• Maintain Terraform and write new Terraform code for consistent builds.
• Own backup and disaster recovery across platform layers with tests.
• Manage vulnerability remediation cycles with tight timescales.
• Apply monthly vendor patches and firmware updates.
• Automate start-up, shutdown and routine operations; monitor capacity.
