VE3 is a technology and business consultancy offering end-to-end technology solutions. We seek a senior DevOps/Cloud engineer in the United Kingdom with SC clearance to provision and manage multi-cloud environments across SaaS, PaaS and IaaS.

The role involves automation, DR planning, vulnerability management and secure access control in a hybrid remote/work arrangement. The candidate will maintain Terraform, perform data masking for test environments, coordinate Oracle release planning, and

Qualifications

• OCI experience: compute/storage/networking/IAM, including design and firewall config.
• Terraform in production use, not just lab.
• Linux administration and scripting.
• Backup/restore and disaster recovery experience with actual recovery tests.
• Vulnerability scanning and remediation in a managed environment.
• Privileged access management tooling and jump/bastion patterns.
• SC clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provision, refresh and decommission environments across SaaS, PaaS and IaaS as needed.
• Run production-to-test cloning with data masking for safe test environments.
• Plan estate around Oracle release cycles and publish the plan.
• Maintain and extend Terraform code to ensure consistent builds.
• Own backup/restore: full, incremental, snapshots; ensure known-good state.
• Own disaster recovery: replication to recovery site, tested annually.
• Run vulnerability management cycles with defined fixes.
• Apply monthly vendor patches and firmware updates.
• Automate start-up/shutdown and routine operations; monitor capacity.
• Support redesign of environment estate to reduce costs.
• Handle privileged access requests per change control; break-glass procedures.
• Maintain accurate environment trackers and monthly access audits.
