Job summary

UHI invites applications for the Optometry Facilitator role based at UHI House, Inverness. This sessional, part-time post supports problem-based learning for optometry students, delivering two facilitated sessions per week with a minimum of two weeks per semester.

Applicants should have a background in science or healthcare and be capable of guiding students to use available resources to tackle clinical cases; no specific optometry knowledge is required. PVG check applies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Facilitate two sessions per week (minimum two weeks per semester) for problem-based learning in the optometry curriculum.
• Provide structured introductions to cases, define research topics, and guide student teams (5–7 people) in their learning goals.
