Job summary

UHI partnership is seeking an Optometry Facilitator to support problem-based learning for optometry students at the Centre for Rural Health Science. The role involves guiding students through case-based research, defining topics, and helping set learning goals.

No specific optometry knowledge is required; just strong facilitation and collaborative skills. You will deliver two sessions per week (0.2 FTE) with a positive teamwork environment and access to support resources.

Qualifications

• Experience guiding student learning in problem-based learning (PBL) contexts.
• Ability to lead two facilitated sessions per week with a commitment to a minimum of two sessions per semester.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to support optometry students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver two facilitated PBL sessions per week (0.2 FTE requirement).
• Guide student teams to define research topics and learning goals.
• Coordinate with groups and maintain facilitator notes for guidance.
