Asda Opticians in Nottingham is seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join their store team. You will conduct eye examinations, lens evaluations and extended service examinations, working with the Dispensing Optician Manager to train peers and uphold departmental standards.

The role supports NHS contracted services, with Asda funding CPD and accreditation, and offers progression in clinical skills while delivering excellent patient care in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Evidence of NHS performer list in the country of work.
• WECs/WECS accreditation or willingness to gain accreditation within 12 months (funded by Asda).

Responsibilities

• Perform eye examinations and extended service examinations.
• Support dispensing team and contribute to training and coaching.
• Help deliver NHS extended eye care services and maintain department standards.
