Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our Chesterfield Boots Opticians store.

This is a full-time position, ideally including Saturday shifts.

The store is a busy flagship located in the town centre, supported by a fantastic team of 17 colleagues.

Key responsibilities
  • Leading clinics and providing specialist care and advice to patients
  • Testing eyes with the latest technology while maintaining high standards of patient care
  • Delivering enhanced services based on store needs
  • Responding to emergency triages
  • Collaborating with external healthcare professionals
  • Supporting team members clinically on the shop floor
  • Advising patients using your clinical expertise
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest clinical practices
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders
Essential skills and experience
  • GOC registration (or expecting to be registered within 6 months)
  • Additional registration with the relevant NHS body
  • Motivation to deliver excellent patient care
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive attitude to seeing what’s possible for teams, customers, and patients
