Job summary

Boots Opticians in Colchester is seeking an Optical Assistant to join our in-store team. You’ll be the first and last point of contact for customers, assist with eye-care needs and help them find the right glasses or contact lenses.

Based in store, you’ll support with pre-screening activities, eye-tests, aftercare, and maintenance of shop floor standards, while enjoying our Step Into Optics training programme to grow your knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a passion for customer care.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for learning and personal development.

Responsibilities

• Order, dispense and collect glasses and contact lenses
• Support with eye-tests and pre-screening activities
• Provide aftercare support through repairs and adjustments
• Complete operational and administrative tasks associated with dispensing prescriptions
• Maintain shop floor standards
