Job summary

Specsavers invites applications for an Apprenticeship in our Brighton London Road store. You will train in optical and hearing care while earning a full-time wage and completing 15–18 months of paid work combined with structured learning.

You’ll develop customer service, product knowledge and practical skills in a fast-paced, supportive team environment. Travel to the store daily is required, with benefits including pension enrollment and training support.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths at grades 9-4 (A*-C) or equivalent qualification.
• EU residency for at least 3 years and right to work in the UK.
• Not currently enrolled in another government-funded course.

Our store

Our Brighton London Road store is a busy and welcoming Specsavers store, proudly serving the local Brighton community with high-quality optical and hearing care. Located on London Road, the store has a diverse customer base and a friendly, supportive team who are passionate about delivering an outstanding customer experience.

The store offers a comprehensive range of optical services, including adult and children’s eye tests, contact lens services, home eye tests, minor eye condition services, prescription safety spectacles and specialist dry-eye treatment through ZEST. Alongside our optical services, we also provide a full range of hearing care, including adult hearing tests, hearing-aid fitting and support, hearing-aid checks and replacements, and hearing protection.

Our team works closely across optical, audiology and retail to ensure every customer receives personalised advice and the highest standard of care. Your on‑the‑job training will sit alongside structured learning and at the end of the 15‑18 months as an apprentice, you’ll be a fully‑fledged Optical Assistant.
