Job summary

Specsavers Farnham is offering an Apprenticeship to start a career in an Optical environment. You’ll train while earning a full-time wage and become a fully-fledged Optical Assistant after 15-18 months.

You’ll welcome customers, book eye tests, pre-screen patients, provide style advice, measure frames and answer calls as part of a friendly, supportive team in a busy store.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths at grades 9–4 (A*–C) or equivalent qualification.
• You’ve lived in the EU for at least 3 years and have the right to work in the UK.
• You’re not currently enrolled in another government-funded course.

Our team

Specsavers Farnham is a busy, customer-focused store providing a comprehensive range of optical and eye-health services. The store offers adult and children’s eye examinations, OCT/3D eye scanning, contact lens services including complex fittings, cataract pre- and post-operative care, DVLA sight tests and minor eye condition clinics. The team also supports home eye testing and prescription safety eyewear.

Our dedicated Farnham Audiology store provides a full range of hearing services, including hearing tests, hearing aid fitting and checks, ear wax removal and hearing protection. Together, the teams provide high-quality, accessible care to the local community.

Your on-the-job training will sit alongside structured learning and at the end of the 15-18 months as an apprentice, you’ll be a fully-fledged Optical Assistant.
