Optical Assistant – Farnborough Area

27,000+ DOE | Full-Time | 5 Days Per Week | Established Optical Multiple

At Inspired Recruitment Group, we’re working with a well-established high-street optical multiple near Farnborough that is looking for an experienced Optical Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a great opportunity for someone who already has experience within optics and is looking for a stable, long-term position where they can continue developing their skills and play an important part in the day-to-day running of a busy practice.

The Opportunity

You’ll be joining an established practice with a strong focus on delivering excellent patient care alongside a great customer experience. The team is looking for someone who is confident, personable and comfortable working within a fast-paced optical environment.

This is a full-time position working 5 days per week, including weekend working.

The Role

As an Optical Assistant, you’ll be involved throughout the patient journey, from welcoming patients into the practice through to helping them find the right eyewear and ensuring they receive a high standard of service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• ” Dispensing frames and lenses to a variety of patients
• ” Supporting patients with frame selection and providing suitable recommendations
• ” Carrying out pre-screening and supporting the clinical team
• ” Adjustments, collections and aftercare
• ” Delivering excellent customer service throughout the patient journey
• ” Working towards individual and practice targets
• ” Supporting colleagues and contributing to the smooth running of the practice

About You

We’re ideally looking for someone with previous Optical Assistant experience who is confident working with patients and understands the balance between great patient care and the commercial side of a busy optical practice.

You’ll be friendly, approachable and comfortable building rapport with patients, while also being a reliable team player who is happy to get involved wherever needed.

Salary & Benefits

The salary is 26,000+ depending on experience, with the final package reflecting the experience and skills you can bring to the practice.
