Job summary

Specsavers in Castleford is seeking an Optical Assistant to warmly welcome customers, assist with eyewear selections and explain products and services. You will work closely with qualified Opticians and Technicians, gaining practical experience while benefiting from comprehensive training and development paths.

The role is full-time (40 hours) including a weekend day, with opportunities for career progression and a competitive benefits package. Training support is a key aspect of this position.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Experience in optics or Audiology business.
• Basic knowledge/experience of optical and/or Audiology terminology.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers with their optical needs in a friendly, professional manner.
• Support qualified Opticians and Technicians on daily tasks and in-store processes.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to grow within the Specsavers team.
