Job summary

Specsavers East Grinstead is seeking an Optical Assistant to welcome customers and help them confidently through their visit. You’ll join a friendly team and receive extensive training with support from experienced Opticians and Technicians.

With 40 hours a week and a pay range of £8.20–£12.91 per hour plus bonus, plus a £1k welcome bonus after probation, you’ll have the chance to develop across eye care and hearing services and progress within the business.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment
• Experience in optics or Audiology business
• Basic knowledge/experience of optical and/or Audiology terminology.

• Welcome and help customers as they walk through our doors.
• Support training and development across other business areas with experienced colleagues.

Our store

Specsavers East Grinstead is a modern opticians and audiology store located on London Road in the heart of the town. The store offers comprehensive eye tests, contact lens services, OCT eye scans, children's eye care, and professional hearing services, including hearing tests and hearing aid fittings. With a friendly, experienced team and a wide selection of glasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses, the store is dedicated to providing high-quality eye and hearing care alongside excellent customer service.
