Job summary

Specsavers Alton on Alton High Street is seeking an Optical Assistant to welcome and assist customers with care and expertise. You’ll join a friendly team supported by experienced Opticians and Technicians, with training across optical and hearing care areas.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Experience in optics or Audiology business.
• Basic knowledge/experience of optical and/or Audiology terminology.

Our store

Located on Alton High Street, Specsavers Alton is a welcoming, community-focused opticians and hearing centre providing a wide range of eye and hearing care services to customers across the local area.

The store offers comprehensive eye care services, including adult and children's eye examinations, eye health assessments, contact lens consultations and aftercare, and advanced OCT 3D eye scanning technology. The team also provides home eye tests for eligible customers who are unable to attend the store independently, as well as ZEST eyelid treatment to help manage certain dry eye symptoms.

Alongside its optical services, the Alton store has an established hearing care service, with qualified audiology professionals providing adult hearing tests, hearing aid advice, fitting, checks and replacements. Customers can also access professional ear wax removal and a range of hearing protection solutions, including earplugs.

With a strong focus on delivering excellent customer care and supporting the eye and hearing health of the local community, Specsavers Alton provides a varied and professional environment where colleagues can develop their skills while making a real difference to customers every day. The store is also a Platinum Employer accredited location.
